It all started with a coconut. 🥥 

Tara was only fifteen when she left her childhood home in Germany and moved to Sri Lanka. The island quickly became her heart’s home — a place full of vibrant life, endless beaches, and the tall, graceful coconut trees she fell in love with. 🌴
Sri Lanka wasn’t just a place; it was where she discovered her freedom, her passion for nature, and the joy of living actively under the sun. ☀️

One afternoon, while drinking a fresh coconut on the beach, Tara met Sachin. Both were sport fanatics, endlessly curious about performance, wellness, and the kind of clothing that could keep up with their energy. That day, with sand under their feet and coconut water in their hands, the spark of an idea was born.

Years later, Tara moved to Switzerland — carrying both her love for Sri Lanka and the bond she had formed with Sachin. Together, they remained addicted to sports and functional gym clothes, but one thing bothered them: the sportswear industry was filled with fast fashion, short-lived fabrics, and toxic materials that harmed the planet they both cherished. None of it truly served the athletes. None of it lasted. None of it reflected the values they lived by.

So they decided to change that.

NIVAYS was born with a clear mission: to create activewear that supports athletes in their performance — durable, functional, and timeless — while supporting the planet, not destroying it.

This dream became a plan. And that plan became a mission when Tara gave birth at 24 to her first son, Nivay. His name carried the promise of a future worth protecting. It became the name of the brand — a symbol of hope, strength, and responsibility for the next generation.
